I had a warranty repair. Coastal KIA service department looked at the issue then looked at the license plate frame then said: “You didn’t buy this car from here (it was purchased new from another dealer a month earlier). We don’t do warranty repair for cars that are not bought from here.” Wow!!! So much for a KIA authorized dealer and repair shop. Update: Thanks for reply. It was a walk-in. Train all your staff to know that “Coastal KIA does provide warranty repair regardless where a KIA vehicle was purchased.” Apparently, some of your staff made that decision “we do not provide warranty repair for cars that were not purchased from Coastal KIA” after looking at the dealer license bracket in the back of my car.

As my 2016 Sorento approached100k miles, it began to lose power and shifted gears to maintain speed. The service advisor, Brian Benson, patiently listened to my concerns and, after the car was examined, gave me a quotation for replacing the turbo. I returned to get the work done and Brian asked if I was the original owner, which I am. He advised that the car qualified for warranty coverage for the repairs. The dealership was able to provide a rental car while the car was being repaired. He advised that this cost would also be covered under the warranty. His level of integrity and caring are very much appreciated.

Gus was an absolute dream! We bought our first car with him today and he was just perfect. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Thank y’all!
